We do VoIP consulting and install VoIP systems for large Business.
We encourage the use of VoIP consulting and services for multi-site phone system installations and paging systems. VoIP uses your existing LAN/WAN network with NO additional monthly charges. You already own (or lease) your LAN/WAN. Structured Cabling is defined as building or campus telecommunications cabling infrastructure that consists of a number of standardized smaller elements (hence structured) called subsystems.
Structured cabling falls into the following six sub-systems:
Structured cabling design and installation is governed by a set of standards that determine how to wire a data center, office or apartment building for data or voice communications, using Category 5 or Category 6 cable and modular sockets. These standards define how to lay the cabling in a star formation, such that all outlets terminate at a central patch panel (which is normally 19 inch rack-mounted), from where it can be determined exactly how these connections will be used. Each outlet can be ‘patched’ into a data network switch (normally also rack mounted alongside), or patched into a ‘telecoms patch panel’ which forms a bridge into a private branch exchange (PBX) telephone system, thus making the connection a voice port.*

A.) Paging System Maintenance
If your paging system sound quality is not what it used to be, get it fixed. Many customers feel that a paging system looses it’s quality of sound with age. That is simply not true. If your system looses quality or volume, there is definitely a repair issue. Some customers have a loss in volume, so they turn up the volume on the Amps. Turning up the Amps instead of fixing what caused the volume change, can damage the Amps. Have a professional test for grounds, shorts, and overloads. Detecting and correcting problems early can stop more damage to the system and save you money. Have your system tested. Paging System Repairs are best left to a qualified technicians. The mistakes made by unqualified personnel guessing can cause more trouble. I often find multiple troubles caused by improper repair techniques, and it ends up costing the customer a lot more to fix

Customers are often surprised to find that they do not need a new paging system. Many times we can repair existing for much less than going new. Many times the original system was not installed properly. Once repaired and working as designed, paging sounds much better.
